Library Guidelines and Offerings

1. Guests are welcome to read books during our opening hours at their convenience. This service is completely free, and there is no compulsion to order food or beverages.
2. Our space is available for reading and research purposes. Guests can bring their own books and materials or explore Ujamaa’s book collection.
3. We offer complimentary Jiri tea to book enthusiasts and dedicated readers as a gesture of appreciation.
4. Lifetime membership to Ujamaa Library is available for a one-time fee of 1,000 rupees.
5. Members can borrow one book at a time for home use with a refundable deposit of 300 rupees.
6. Books must be returned within 15 days. A fine of 200 rupees per week will apply for late returns but if you contact and renew, you will not be fined.
7. Our bookcases hold over 1,500 books, covering a wide range of genres. From poetry and fiction to biographies, autobiographies, motivational books, historical accounts, comics, and more, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
8. If a book you want is not available in our library, please let us know through any means of communication. We will store it and update its availability on our social media page.
